After finishing Part 1 I had to read the next part.

Part 2 is about the Party. The build up to it, the preparations with some flashbacks woven in.

Part 2 was just as gripping as part 1. While some secrets were revealed in part 1 there are still so many that are yet to be revealed.

The format was the same as Part 1 with each chapter focusing on one character. In this part we got to know the characters better. The flashback chapters provided some interesting background.

I’m keeping this review fairly short because I don’t want to give anything away.

This book was gripping and addictive. I read it in almost one sitting and instantly started the next part. Harriet is an excellent writer and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

I like: the Golden Girls, karaoke, the clothes shop Anthropologie, books books and more books, and my daughter Cora and my boyfriend Chris. Not in that order. My latest novel is A PLACE FOR US, which is out at the moment in an absolutely beautiful paperback (which I like to stroke in my spare time) and e-book. It opens with the matriarch of the Winter family, Martha, sitting down at the breakfast table one morning to write out the invitations that will call the family back from around the world home to their beautiful house Winterfold for a reunion where she will reveal a long-held secret… I have been completely thrilled and chuffed that people have enjoyed it, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to say nice things about it.
