1) Tell me a little bit about you?
My name is Amanda, I have been blogging for 6 months now and since starting up have become totally addicted to it.
I live in Scotland, just outside Glasgow with my Husband. I am originally from Wales.
2) What do you love about Christmas?
I love Christmas, I love everything about Christmas, I love that I get 2 weeks holidays from work to spend doing whatever I like. I love spending time with my Husband, time to read, relax, watch Christmas films. This Christmas will be my first Christmas where I will be blogging.
3) What do you hate about Christmas?
The only thing I don’t like about Christmas is the expense! I don’t like how the expense tends to stress people out. I have taken to giving some homemade gifts in recent years.
4) What is your favourite Christmas book?
I actually haven’t read that many Christmas books. One of the fab ones I have read is called ‘The Christmas Chocolatier’ by De-Ann Black. I loved all the delicious chocolatey descriptions and the festive theme to the book. I will definitely be reading more Christmas books this year.
5) What is your favourite Christmas song?
At Christmas time, I always watch The X Factor, so usually whatever their Christmas hit is will be my favourite of the season. Of the long standing Christmas songs, I really like ‘Mistletoe and Wine’. I will always put Christmas music on, while we decorate the tree.
6) What was your best Christmas?
I don’t think I could choose my best Christmas ever, I have had so many good ones. My childhood Christmases were great, my Christmases with my Husband have been lovely. I am always spoiled! I spent one Christmas in Vietnam, which was very different but equally good.
7) What was your best Christmas present?
Again, I have had so many different fab Christmas presents. My most recent favourite was my Kindle. I use it everyday and love it. I also remember best childhood presents: a Barbie house, a bike. I have been very lucky.
8) What was your worst Christmas present?
I can’t say I have had any bad Christmas presents, I appreciate every gift I am given because the person has gone to the effort to get it for me. Even if it isn’t something that is really me, I still appreciate the thought.
9) Describe your ideal Christmas?
Well, this isn’t hard! Spent with my Husband, time off work, nice gifts to swap with each other and delicious food. The snow would probably make even better.
10) What do you want for Christmas this year?
It’s strange, this is probably the first year that I haven’t really wanted something particular. When people ask me what I want I quite often say chocolate, because I can never have too much chocolate!
11) Where can we find you?
I will be writing Christmas posts on my blog this year, you can read them and all my other posts at:
I’d love to hear from you, so please drop by.
