Everyone loves Christmas – don’t they?

Carrie Blake loves her job as a nanny but, while her friends are settling down, all of Carrie’s spare time is spent with other people’s families. Though it breaks her heart, her New Year’s resolution is to embark on a new career and fix her love life.

As Carrie starts her last job, she’s sure she’ll be going out on a high – the house is amazing , the kids are adorable, and she’s in charge of decorating the tree!

The only problem could be her boss… single-dad Adam Fletcher might be both handsome and successful, but he’s always working. Doesn’t he realise he’s missing out on precious moments with his son and daughter?

As Adam’s family arrive for Christmas including his sensitive sister, Sharon, and his fun-loving elderly Grandpa, Walter, Carrie realises that she might just have found the perfect allies in her quest to persuade Adam to loosen up. There’s still time for Carrie to make this the best Christmas ever… after all.

Christmas is the time for miracles, isn’t it? Let the festivities begin!

Thank you to Bookouture for accepting my request via Netgalley. I’ve read a few of Jenny’s books in the past and I just love her writing style.

This book follows Carrie as she takes her last nanny job, looking after the Fletcher children before growing up. Carrie has spent her younger years looking after other peoples children. All her school friends are married and have children of their own but Carrie doesn’t have any spare time.

As soon as Carrie arrives at the Fletcher house it’s clear that a lot of changes are needed. The children barely even interact with their father and what’s worse is that they have accepted it. Carrie faces much opposition from Adam who is busy running his company and doesn’t have the time to spare to get involved with the children.

Adam is not a mean or horrible man he just struggles to juggle his life. His company is in the middle of an expansion and he doesn’t trust anyone else to do it right so he is overseeing everything.

What I loved about this story is the way both Adam and Carrie change throughout the time that she is working for him.

This book is a hearfelt christmas read that will leave you with a case of the warm fuzzies. This is perfect for those long winter nights by the fire.

About Jenny Hale

When I graduated college, one of my friends said, “Look out for this one; she’s going to be an author one day.” Despite being an avid reader and a natural storyteller, it wasn’t until that very moment that the idea of writing novels occurred to me.

Sometimes our friends can see the things that we can’t.

While I didn’t start straight away, that comment sowed a seed and several years, two children, and hundreds of thousands of words later, I completed a novel that I felt was worthy of publication. The result is Coming Home for Christmas, a heart-warming story about friends, family, and the magic of love at Christmas.

I released my second book, Love Me for Me, this past summer, and my next novel, A Christmas to Remember is out now.

When I’m not writing, I’m a District Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages, a mother of two boys, and a wife to a very supportive husband.
