Christmas has arrived in the little village of Happiness, promising snowflakes, hot chocolate and plenty of seasonal romance. So snuggle up and fall in love with the gorgeously cosy new story from the bestselling author of Christmas at Lilac Cottage…

Christmas has always been such an important part of Ruby Marlowe’s life and at a time of year that always holds so many memories, Ruby likes to throw herself into the magic of the season head first. So when she is offered the opportunity to open a year-round Christmas shop in the little village of Happiness it seems like a dream come true.

Accepting the offer has absolutely nothing to do with sexy Jacob Harrington, the sculptor she had a fling with in the village during the summer.

After all, Jacob is known to love the ladies and has never had a commitment. Ruby, on the other hand, made the ultimate vow of love and suffered heart-wrenching loss in return. She vows she will never be committed to a man again.

But when fate throws Ruby and Jacob together in this town in the most magical of seasons, will more than snowflakes fall? As the Christmas celebrations get underway and Ruby tries to spread her own Christmas magic over the little village, can love sparkle and come back to life.

A glorious, feel-good romance that’s like a warm hug on a cold winter’s day. An unputdownable festive treat for lovers of Sarah Morgan, Miranda Dickinson and Lucy Diamond.

Thank you to Holly Martin for my copy of this book. I love Holly’s writing style and I loved The Little Village of Happiness early this year. I was so excited to return!

Ruby Marlowe visited Happiness in the summer and fell in love with the place. Ruby decided it was time to leave the town she grew up in. She also misses her best friend Willow who moved to the village in the summer. Ruby is very anti relationships but we are at a mystery as to why. Something happened in her past which is affecting her now.

In the summer Ruby and Jacob spent a few nights together. Both of them knew it was just a one-time thing but Jacob hasn’t been able to get Ruby out of his head. Jacob has definitely had his share of the ladies but since he met Ruby it’s just not the same. Jacob is very very easy to fall in love with. Not only is he easy on the eye he has the gift of the gab to go with it.

This story has all the usual festive moments that you have come to expect from Holly’s books but also a lot of hard issues. I won’t go into them because I don’t want to ruin the story but my eyes were definitely glistening and I shed a fair few throughout this book. It’s not all doom and gloom though because Holly knows how to pepper these hard-hitting issues with just the right dose of humour.

This is wonderful festive romance that you won’t be able to put down. I miss these characters already.
