It’s friday…YAY! To celebrate today I am joined by the lovely Simona from Skys Book Corner to talk about happiness.
Happiness and they little things!
I would like to thank Emma for inviting me to take part in her Friday in focus feature. When Emma asked me, if I wanted to be part of it, I said yes immediately. At first I didn’t know what to write about, but after a bit of thinking I decided to go for „Happiness“.
I’d like to start the post with this quote:
„Don’t let the silly little things steal your happiness.“
And I couldn’t agree more with that! And…
„Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
Our dear Dumbledore. Most of our days are stressful, busy and hard. Sometimes it can be difficult to find something positive that happened, but let me tell you one thing. Every day has several positive sides and things, sometimes it’s just hard to find them. You just have to turn on the light and look for it. It can be small things like someone thanking for I don’t know – you stopping your car to let them cross the street – or other small gestures. Today for example I had to go to the dentist, so naturally I wasn’t really happy. However, I came home for lunch (I only work mornings on Tuesdays) and had a delicious lunch and the most perfect little dessert. And there we go, a little happiness!!!
You can all do that. It’s actually not so hard and it makes your days so much better. Here are some little tips for bringing more happiness into your everyday life:
- Be with others who make you smile.
- Accept the good.
- Do things you love – read, sing, blog etc.
- Be true to yourself.
- Learn to say no!
- Be open!
- Try new things.
- Be generous and compassionate.
- Be grateful!
- Focus on the present.
I could list more here, but these are the important ones for me. Last but not I’d just like to say: FIND HAPPINESS IN THE LITTLE THINGS.
Thanks Emma for having me and I hope you all enjoyed this post.
