After being swept up in the magical world of Caraval, Donatella Dragna has finally escaped her father and saved her sister, Scarlett, from a disastrous arranged marriage. The girls should be celebrating, but Tella isn't yet free. She made a desperate bargain with a mysterious criminal, and what Tella owes him no one has ever been able to deliver: Caraval Master Legend's true name.

The only chance of uncovering Legend's identity is to win Caraval, so Tella throws herself into the legendary competition once more - and into the path of the murderous heir to the throne, a doomed love story, and a web of secrets...including her sister's. Caraval has always demanded bravery, cunning, and sacrifice. But now the game is asking for more. If Tella can't fulfill her bargain and deliver Legend's name, she'll lose everything she cares about - maybe even her life. But if she wins, Legend and Caraval will be destroyed forever.

Welcome, welcome to Caraval...the games have only just begun.

I had an e-ARC of this book via Netgalley however I actually listened to this book on audible. As soon as I finished Caraval I started Legendary. I was so excited to start this book as it was all about Tella. I loved Tella in Caraval but we didn’t get to see a lot of her so knowing this I couldn’t wait to get started!

I thought that Tella was impulsive in the first book but in this book, we see that for her this is so much more than just a game. Tella has been through so much more than we thought in Caraval and in Legendary she goes through a hell of a lot more! Tella is strong, brave and determined.

Dante and Tella had such great chemistry and I loved their banter. I definitely fell for Dante in this book. We also meet Jacks in this book. Jacks is arrogant, There’sno other way to describe him. I was suspicious of Jacks from the minute we met him. There is just something about him that makes him untrustworthy.

As in Caraval this book is full of beautiful locations, magic and grandeur. Stephanie does an excellent job of creating a world that you can completely escape into. I also have a hardback copy of this book and the map on the inside is just beautiful.

Finally, I want to talk about the ending. Well it surprised me that is for sure! I am so damn excited for Finale!
