Sparks fly between a PR rep and an A-list actor who want nothing to do with each other.
Leni Steele might be looking for love, but she’s definitely not looking to be someone’s fake date. Especially not one of the most infuriatingly handsome and annoyingly cocky actors on the planet, Duncan Raz. But when the owner of the PR firm for which she works forces her to walk the red carpet on his arm, she has no choice. Neither wants to be there, much less with each other. They’re like oil and water, and he gets on her last nerve. But after a few tequila shots, that’s not all he gets on. What was supposed to be one date turns into a media frenzy they can’t afford to ignore, and Leni has no other option than to continue the ruse. All the fake kisses furtive glances, and seductive touches eventually start to feel very real. But Raz didn’t earn his A-list-actor status for nothing. Is he just doing what he does best? Playing a role? Or is Leni the leading lady in Raz’s real-life love story?

Thank you to Melissa for my copy of this book. This is the 5th book in the Steele’s at Silver Island series. All books feature a different couple and could be read as standalones.

If you have read any of Melissa’s other books set on Silver Island then you have probably already met Leni and the rest of the Steele Family. After watching many of her family and friends fall in love Leni is pretty happy with her life in New York. She works long hours, living off takeaways and watching Mets games. It’s got to be someone special to break down those walls that Leni has put up. Enter Duncan Raz. Duncan might seem like a grade A jerk but really he’s nothing like that at all. Duncan is romantic, sexy AF and a real sweatheart.

I love a fake dating to real dating trope so this one was right up my street. Leni tried to deny her feelings for so long in this one I just wanted to give her a real shake. I loved seeing all the ways Duncan tried to win Leni’s heart. He really puts his all into it and shows a lot of men to shame.

This book is also very steamy. Along with all the romantic scenes are some very steamy scenes between Duncan and Leni. Melissa really knows how to balance the two.

I absolutely loved returning to the Island and catching up with all of the couples there. It’s nice to see the Steele family all together, teasing each other and just generally enjoying family gatherings.

If you are looking for a steamy romance with the big family feels then this is for you
