1) Tell me a little bit about you
I’m Ananda, 35 year old book lover, mother of 2 boys and wife to one great guy. I blog on This Chick Reads, which I co-run together with my good friend Marina. I mostly read chick lit and women’s fiction, though occasionally I do read some thriller and historical fiction too.
2)What do you love about Christmas?
I love EVERYTHING about Christmas, from shopping to cooking delicious Christmas meals. Mostly I LOVE the fact everyone is cheery and happy, more than they are usually at leastJ I love the fact the whole family is around during the holidays and we have the time to catch up on each other’s lives.
3) What do you hate about Christmas?
The fact every day can’t be Christmas.
4) What is your favourite Christmas book?
‘Sleigh Bells in the Snow’ by Sarah Morgan. PERFECT romance and festive read.
5) What is your favourite Christmas song?
‘Ay Ay Ay It’s Christmas’ by Ricky Martin. My kids LOVE this song too 🙂
6) What was your best Christmas?
I’d say the first Christmas we celebrated as a four member family, right after my youngest was born (2012).
7) What was your best Christmas present?
The cards my older son makes for me every Christmas. He puts so much effort in making them, which is why they are so special.
8) What was your worst Christmas present?
Honestly, I don’t remember I ever got a Christmas present I didn’t like. My friends and family know me pretty well and they know what I need or want most, so usually buy me that as a present. Of course, they can always get me more books, which is a perfect gift for me on any occasion.
9) Describe your ideal Christmas
Everyone around the Christmas tree, singing Ricky Martin’s song and exchanging presents. Of course, loads of delicious food and some red wine included.
10) What do you want for Christmas this year?
Laughter and health! 2014 was a tough year; I had loads of deadlines to meet and even was admitted with the little one at the hospital due severe bronchitis. If Santa can make everyone stay healthy and give us loads of happy moments, then that’s all I really want and need.
11) Where can we find you?
