Chloe Richards is a small town girl with a big heart. At least, that’s what the local folk of Rosehip Village think. But when her parents turn up on her doorstep asking for help, her secret past is about to be revealed.
Being the daughter of Hollywood royalty was never going to be easy, but at 19, Chloe Richards managed to leave that life behind along with the scandals that almost destroyed her. A fresh start was all she needed, and a fresh start was what she got in Rosehip. Girlfriend of a local bookshop owner, best friends with fiercely loyal café owner and owner of a perfume business herself, Chloe has a happy life. But her parents are about to turn her perfect life on its head. Again.
What do you do when you’re torn between loyalty and protecting yourself? Should you trust your heart when your head is telling you not to?
Thank you to Ellen for letting me organise her blog tour and for a review copy of this book. I have a few of Ellen’s other books on my TBR pile but I had never read any of her books before. I liked the sound of this book and was more than happy to organise the tour.
This book follows Chloe Richards as she tries to escape the life of the rich and famous. Three years ago she escaped to Rosehip. A tiny little village where no one would find her. Chloe is a strong, bright girl. She was only 18 when she arrived in Rosehip after having her life torn apart by the press and those she thought were her friends. Chloe’s parents are famous film stars and would often be away filming and leave little Chloe at home. Chloe had everything she could ever want except her parents by her side.
Chloe builds new relationships in Rosehip and really starts to thrive. She has her own perfume shop and regularly makes exclusive scents for special customers.
This book takes you on so many twists and turns you don’t know who to trust. Ellen makes the characters so genuine and believable that I was fooled for quite a while.
I loved this story and I read it in only a few days because it was so addictive. I will definitely be putting my other Ellen Faith books higher on my TBR pile.
