Unwrap this gorgeous gift of a book for an escape to the snow-peaked caps of the Scottish Highlands and a romance that will melt your heart…
Izzy McBride had never in a million years expected to inherit an actual castle from her great uncle Bill but here she was, in the run up to Christmas, Monarch of her own Glen – a very rundown glen in need of a lot of TLC if her dream of turning it into a boutique bed and breakfast was to come true.
But when Izzy’s eccentric mother rents a room to enigmatic thriller author Ross Adair and the Scottish snow starts to settle like the frosting on a Christmas cake, it’s a race to get the castle ready before they’re all snowed in for the holidays.

Thank you to One More Chapter for my copy of this book via Netgalley and to Rachel for letting me take part in this tour. This is the 9th book in the Romantic Escape series, but each book can be read as a standalone.
In this book we follow Izzy as she returns to the Scottish Highlands to open the castle she inherited as a hotel. Well, I hope I win the lottery because I definitely want to visit this place for Christmas.
There are a few characters which I loved in this box. I loved Duncan with his thick Scottish accent and protectiveness for Izzy. Xanthe was quite a character too. She is impulsive and eccentric, but she has a good heart.
I recently got married in a castle in Scotland, so I really enjoyed reading this book and it just helped to keep the wedding and honeymoon fever going. I really loved visiting Scotland, so this book was perfect to keep me dreaming of the beautiful countryside. I only visited a small area of Scotland, but this book makes me want to visit more.
This book really was like a big warm hug. It’s full of all things Christmas. If you are looking for something to get you in the mood for Christmas this book is the one to read.
