The moment Lilith Straight dies, the Devil appears to claim her soul and cash in on a family curse. Now, Lilith has no choice but to work for him. The job is bad, the boss is worse and she can’t imagine how she’ll explain her new reincarnation to her eight-year-old daughter. But then an arrogant, yet oh so yummy, incubus shows up…and hell heats up just a little more.
Meet William, the Sexiest Incubus in Hell
Today, I thought I would introduce you to Lilith’s heartthrob, William. He’s an uber yummy incubus who’s certainly made my heart flutter!
The thing about incubuses is that they are able to cater to a woman’s every whim. Do you like a bad boy? That’s William. Want a smexy nerd? Again, he can do that. Sensitive poet? Aggressive footballer with a rockin’ hard body? Possessive alpha male? Those are all William, too.
So who’s the real William? The one that Lilith loves? Who hides behind those soulful, dark eyes?
To begin with, William was born at the beginning of the nineteen century. His father, a stern, overbearing man who always dressed in black, tried to tame William’s spirit. However, even as a boy, our William was defiant. Despite his father’s best efforts, William grew into a man who loved to drink and gamble and generally spit in his father’s eye.
Then he fell in love. He’s very secretive about his wife, but the fact that he doesn’t want to talk about her speaks to how much he loved her. Unfortunately, his young wife died in childbirth, taking the baby with her. William’s heart shattered. His father gloated that this was a just punishment for someone who broke nearly every one of the Ten Commandments.
Enraged that God would do such a thing, William turned to the devil. He promised his soul in exchange for eternal youth, so that he would never have to die. For a hundred years, he happily seduced women in order to bring their souls closer to hell.
Then he met Lilith.
In the short time that he’s known her, Lilith has twisted his world around. William no longer wants spend his nights tangled in a stranger’s sheets. He doesn’t want to answer to the devil’s bidding. Lilith has changed him. She’s given him hope that the world isn’t as bleak of a place as he’d thought.
For over a century, William struggled to keep his real self hidden. He never dared to fall in love and doesn’t willingly show his heart to anyone. That’s what makes Lilith so special. Somehow, she manages to slip past his defenses, something that he both loves and hates. It’s been a long time since someone has tied his heart up in knots like this.
William and Lilith may have their ups and downs, but he’s secretly devoted to her. Now, if the two of them can ever break out of their contracts with the devil, there may be a chance for a happy ending.
