Life hasn’t been the same since returning from Barbados. Josh has fallen. Hard. Unable to shake the feelings Ella stirred up in him, he retreats further into himself. He can’t tell her how he feels, because even if he did, it wouldn’t change the fact that she’s married.

Complicated is an understatement for Ella as she works through her own personal hell after finding out her dead husband is, in fact, alive and in hiding again. But life, and work, must go on.

An undercover job on a four-week cruise should be an easy mission for the Cole Enterprise operatives. Unfortunately, the client is one of Ella’s childhood friends, which leaves the pair wishing they’d come up with something other than being engaged as their cover. Playing the part may just hurt them both.

Falling in love is never easy. In fact, it can sometimes be downright painful. No strangers to pain, Josh and Ella find themselves at the crossroads of duty and love. Lines will be blurred. Hearts will be broken. And all that they are will be tested.

Thank you to Sonya for providing me with a copy of this book. This book starts a few months after book four which I reviewed on Tuesday.

This book focuses on Josh an Ella. Josh met Ella in The Vows We Make when they teamed up in the Barbados mission. Josh fell hard for Ella pretty much straight away. The problem is that Ella is still married and after finding out her dead husband, isn’t actually dead now, is not the time for Josh to share his feelings.

I found this review really difficult to write. Not because this was a bad book far from it it was one of my favourites but I am struggling with not giving away the story and saying something I haven’t already said about Sonya’s writing in my other reviews of her books.

Sonya is a fantastic writer. I love her style. She knows how to get the pace right. Sonya will have you happily reading along and then she will have you gripping your kindle and swiping page after page with a need to know what happens next. I adore the way that Sonya shocks you with her books. Every time I read one of Sonya’s books I can never predict what is going to happen.

If you haven’t read Sonya’s work I would highly recommend it and right now book one in The Six series is FREE if you sign up to Sonya’s newsletter.

About Sonya Loveday

Sonya Loveday, first and foremost is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to the realization that this was the answer to the nagging persistent feeling that ‘there’s got to be something more’.
The dream came alive in 2009 when she purchased her laptop and began the tedious step of becoming a published author.
When she’s not reading, she’s writing. When she’s not writing, she’s reading. And when she’s not doing either of those things she’s sleeping, shuttling her children back and forth to school, letting the dogs and cats in and out of the house for the umpteenth time in the last hour and dreaming of a clean house.
