1) Tell me a little bit about you
I’m also an Emma (Popular name!) 🙂 I have 2 children aged 4 & 7 a part time job and am a self published author.
2)What do you love about Christmas?
Everything! I’m a big Christmas fan (but dislike new years eve). My biggest love is definitely fairy lights & Christmas trees. Since my children have been at school I also absolutely love the Christmas concerts they put on. Kids doing the nativity with tea towels on their heads & wonky stars is brilliant and I love the songs. My son has learnt ‘When Santa got stuck up the chimney’ and thinks its brilliant.
3) What do you hate about Christmas?
Nothing really. I love it. Although I guess I wish as soon as Christmas was over we could skip to spring. I don’t really like the cold.
4) What is your favourite Christmas book?
I don’t really have a favourite. As a child I remember one called Lucy & Tom’s Christmas which was lovely and I recently saw it by accident & it brought back lovely memories. For a more recent chick lit type book I really enjoyed Sheila O’Flanagan A season to remember.
5) What is your favourite Christmas song?
Wow that is tricky. Mariah has to be up there ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ is brilliant. I love Jingle Bells, Little Donkey and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
6) What was your best Christmas?
A few years ago we went to Centre Parcs a couple of weeks before Christmas & it was amazing. I think this year will be good as first year in our new house and having a real tree as a bit more space.
7) What was your best Christmas present?
Probably my Kindle which I love.
8) What was your worst Christmas present?
This is easy! My boyfriend got me a hideous poncho quite a few years ago. It was a kind of joke present and was awful. It was brown with horrible tassels and a funny material.
9) Describe your ideal Christmas
I love the whole Christmas week as I usually catch up with various family members as our family is quite large now. On Christmas day there’s usually about 8 of us. I love getting up with the kids opening all the presents, Christmas music on & texting or ringing everyone. We usually have bucks fizz (its become my Christmas tradition)and lots of food. Depending on the toys the kids get it is assembling & playing with various things until everyone collapses on the sofa in front of strictly come dancing. In an ideal world a white Christmas would be amazing & maybe a small lottery win.
10) What do you want for Christmas this year?
Present wise not much just some new perfume. I’m happy to just spend some time with my family. We are going to a Christmas panto & hopefully going ice skating. Although maybe a few book sales would be a nice Christmas surprise 🙂
