Hold the Lift is a fun romantic comedy novella and the first part in the Rinkside in the Rockies series by Aven Ellis!
Sierra Crawford ends up meeting sexy British hockey player Jude Parker after their elevator sticks. Sierra finds herself getting to know Jude—and she likes what she sees. But he wouldn’t be interested in a food-obsessed assistant editor right? Sierra knows she’s quirky—her fondness of Magic 8 Balls is proof of that—so there’s no way he could look her way. Or can he?
**This novella is approximately 15,000 words**
Thank you to Aven for letting me Beta Read this book. This book was originally part of the Love in an Elevator Anthology and is now its own novella. I thought today would be a great day to review this as the first full length book in this series is out tomorrow! I am so excited about Sugar and Ice. Look out for my review tomorrow.
I am going to keep this review short and sweet just like the book. Sierra Crawford is an assistant editor and is obsessed with food. Smelling like a Mexican restaurant after spending a day food testing Sierra gets stuck in a lift with hot, hockey-playing, Brit Jude.
Sierra has an instant attraction to Jude and when their lift gets stuck it’s the perfect time to learn more about each other. The only problem….Sierra stinks!
This book will have you laughing and easily identifying with Sierra and the situations she gets into. This is a great start to the series and I really love these two.
If you’ve never read anything by Aven before then this book will give you the perfect taste of her writing.
