Declan Hawkes is brilliant.
He’s the youngest chairman in the Premier League. He runs one of the most successful clubs in England. He has homes in Monaco and Lake Como. He’s driven. One of the wealthiest men in the UK. He’s also hot. Like, the hottest man I’ve ever laid eyes on.
In short, Declan Hawkes is the dangerous kind of man who can have anything and everything he wants.
And… he wants me.
Me! A graduate intern, who has lived in the same house in Birmingham, England, for my entire life.
So when Declan decides to pursue me, the woman who sneezed a fake eyelash onto one of his exquisite designer dress shirts, I panic.
We have nothing in common. But for some reason, he invites me to an exclusive party on New Year’s Eve. I’m inclined to say no, but my friends are going and they want me to be there, too.
But if I go… What on earth am I going to do with a billionaire?

The Chairman is a book I have been waiting for, for what feels far too long! From the moment Declan was introduced in Making Spirits I have been desperate for this book. Declan is smart, hard-working and drop-dead gorgeous. He is a man who knows what he wants and what Declan wants, Declan gets!

Nicole is a confident, independent woman, Nicole is used to being her own woman and not relying on a man for anything. I really like Nicole and could very easily relate to her.

This book has some of the hottest scenes Aven has ever written but it also has some of the sweetest. I absolutely love Nicole’s Grandpa and When Declan meets him it is one of the sweetest moments. Full of laughter, swooning and the odd tear it’s all you need in a rom-com!

As usual, Aven has smashed it out of the park and has got me desperate for more from these characters. I cannot wait to hear about Declan’s siblings stories Rafe and Calista.

About Aven Ellis

I live in the Dallas area with my family. I enjoy clipping out recipes I will never get around to trying, working out, and chatting with friends on social media. I’m a hockey nut (Go Stars!) and watch as much as humanly possible. I also love shopping and fashion and admit to being obsessed with whatever the Duchess of Cambridge is wearing. In addition to be obsessed with the Duchess, I’m equally obsessed with any show or cookbook featuring Gordon Ramsay.
