A funny thing happened...
Unlike most men of his acquaintance, Gregory Bridgerton believes in true love. And he is convinced that when he finds the woman of his dreams, he will know in an instant that she is the one. And that is exactly what happened. Except...
She wasn't the one. In fact, the ravishing Miss Hermione Watson is in love with another. But her best friend, the ever-practical Lady Lucinda Abernathy, wants to save Hermione from a disastrous alliance, so she offers to help Gregory win her over. But in the process, Lucy falls in love. With Gregory! Except...
Lucy is engaged. And her uncle is not inclined to let her back out of the betrothal, even once Gregory comes to his senses and realizes that it is Lucy, with her sharp wit and sunny smile, who makes his heart sing. And now, on the way to the wedding, Gregory must risk everything to ensure that when it comes time to kiss the bride, he is the only man standing at the altar...

I don’t quite know how I am now on the last book. I have absolutely loved listening to this series and I am going to miss it so much.

Gregory Bridgerton is a romantic! I mean, of course, he is. His parents were a love match and he has watched every single one of his siblings fall madly in love. So Gregory wasn’t going to settle for anything less than true love. I really liked Gregory he has grown up to be quite the gentleman and is clearly close to Anthony and Kate.

Lady Lucinda or Lucy as she would rather be known is such a darling. She is beautiful, smart and selfless. Lucy is always putting others before herself. I was so rooting for Gregory and Lucy from the first time they met.

It was really lovely to see Aubery Hall again and see how Kate and Anthony were getting on. I have to say I kept expecting it to be Violet whenever Lady Bridgerton was mentioned which took a little getting used to.

This was an excellent story but I do feel like I need one more novella to wrap it all up. Something with ALL the Bridgerton siblings, their husbands or wives and their many many children. I am going to miss this family dearly.

About Julia Quinn

#1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn loves to dispel the myth that smart women don’t read (or write) romance, and and if you watch reruns of the game show The Weakest Link you might just catch her winning the $79,000 jackpot. She displayed a decided lack of knowledge about baseball, country music, and plush toys, but she is proud to say that she aced all things British and literary, answered all of her history and geography questions correctly, and knew that there was a Da Vinci long before there was a code.

A graduate of Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges, Ms. Quinn is one of only sixteen members of Romance Writers of America’s Hall of Fame. Her books have been translated into 32 languages, and she lives with her family in the Pacific Northwest.

The Bridgertons, her popular series of historical romance, is currently in production by Shondaland as a Netflix original series starring Julie Andrews, Phoebe Dynevor, and Rége-Jean Page
