Get swept away to the sparkling Cornish coast with the stunning new novel from bestselling author Holly Martin. Autumn Skies Over Ruby Falls is the perfect romantic treat to snuggle up with this autumn.
Clover Philips is exactly where she’s meant to be – back home on Jewel Island teaching dance to the guests at the beautiful Sapphire Bay Hotel that she co-owns with her sisters Skye and Aria. Her life is complete, except for one thing…
When Clover left London she also left behind a devastating betrayal. She hasn’t been able to date anyone since, let alone allow herself to fall in love. What she needs is a casual fling to ease herself back into romance. And as luck would have it, the very handsome Angel Mazzeo is back in town.
The chemistry between Clover and Angel has been undeniable ever since Angel first arrived on Jewel Island six months ago. And though content to be her friend till now, Angel is more than willing to help Clover find her dating feet again.
It should be easy to keep things carefree when love is off the table, but when every moment is magical what started as casual soon becomes something much deeper. Will Clover and Angel find the courage to tell each other how they really feel? And is Clover ready to do the one thing she swore she’d never do again, fall in love?

Thank you to Holly for my copy of this book. I love Holly’s writing and I’m always super excited for a new book.

Before you start this book, I have some things that I think you should stock up on:

  1. Hot Chocolate
  2. Marshmallows (big and small)
  3. Ice Cream. Like a really good B&J or something not a typical vanilla.
  4. Pancake mix (American style). I had the most amazing pancakes for breakfast with buttermilk, raspberries and banana. Oh, they were good.

Back to the book, this is a big warm hug of a story. It deals with some serious issues but in Holly’s usual style these are not too heavy. This was a perfect escape.

If you have read the first book in this series you would have met our two main characters, Clover and Angel. It’s not necessary to read the first book as this can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend doing so as it’s a fantastic book.

Clover and Angel met 6 months ago and it was obvious from the first meeting that there was a spark between these two. Clover though has ‘baggage’. Her last relationship gave her some pretty deep scars. I felt so much sympathy for her when I heard what happened. It was truly awful. Clover is someone I could easily see myself being friends with. She’s funny, sweet and bloody determined.

Angel, Angel, Angel. I love his silly personality. I love that he isn’t afraid to make a fool of himself. He is sure of himself but not in an egotistical way. He is not afraid to be himself.

This is the perfect story for right now. Autumn often gets overlooked in the book world. Everyone seems to skip it and go for the big C (Christmas) Now don’t get me wrong. I LOVE CHRISTMAS but it was a refreshing change to have an autumnal book. It was full of leaves, pumpkins and Halloween. If you are sad about the end of the summer then pick up this book because it will make you remember all the good things about Autumn!

I loved catching up with Aria and Noah. There’s a really sweet moment for them in this book which brought me to happy tears. It was perfect! I also loved seeing how Jesse and Skye are getting on and I can’t wait for Skye’s story (I mean I assume this is next. If not, I’m hunting you down Holly! LOL).
