Jenny Lopez has had a crappy twelve months.

Determined to turn her festive frown upside down, she plans a super winter getaway for her nearest and dearest: ski cabin in Vermont, the best Christmas tree the world has ever seen and more bottles of champagne than is possibly legal to transport across state lines.

But nothing goes to plan and before she knows it, Jenny’s awesome super funtimes Christmas has turned into a dry, dull couples’ retreat. But this is Jenny Lopez. She’s going to have the best Christmas known to man and she’s not prepared to accept anything less, even if it means snowshoe-ing to the nearest store and dragging a turkey three miles in the snow. Even if it means chopping up her beloved Christmas tree to start a fire. Even if it means standing up a hot, wealthy doctor (a doctor, people!) to make sure everyone gets the holiday they deserve.

With her best friends, Angela and Erin, by her side Jenny Lopez is determined to save Christmas. Whether it likes it or not.

Firstly I’m going to tell you how keen I am. I pre-ordered this book on 14th August 2014!!!! yes so 6 months ago I was thinking about Christmas. Anywho back to the book.

I love Lindsey’s books. Both the I heart and About a girl series are great and if you haven’t read them I highly recommend them.

This book is set a few days before Christmas and a year on from I heart Christmas. This is not a sequel but if you have read the other books its a great companion book.

I love Jenny and I love being in her head. She is crazy and fun and she always looks good. She has the best clothes.

In this book we see Jenny getting into her usual scrapes. Her and the gang are prepping for Christmas and of course everything that could go wrong does.

I really enjoyed catching up with the gang again and my only, I guess, gripe is that I wish it was longer. I know Lindsey is a busy girl, this is the third book she has released this year so I understand  why this couldn’t be longer but I really hope one day that we get a full length book in Jenny’s head.

This book is a perfect little Christmas treat that you cant help but enjoy.

My Favourite Quote

“All I have is a vague promise from the flakiest gay dude to put a baby in me when I get desperate”- Jenny Lopez

About Lindsey Kelk

Um, hi! My name is Lindsey, I’m a writer, I live in New York and I’m an interwebs addict. Phew, now I’ve got that off my chest, there’s really not much else to say. I’m from England, specifically ‘up north’, lived in London for seven years then skidaddled to New York. I’ve been here since 2009 and I really don’t particularly want to leave. It’s ever so nice.

I write books, I write articles for magazines, I blog about beauty things, sometimes I put myself in very silly situations and write about that and on the odd occasion, I interview people. I’m much better at talking about myself though. I have been described as an ‘oversharer’. And ‘gobby’. I believe this is endearing.

I love music, movies and TV. I watch WWE. A lot. It’s possible I’m actually a 14-year-old boy who is confused about his sexuality. I’m naturally blonde. The prescription for my right eye is -9.5. I’m never in one place for too long and next year I want to travel lots more. I like cooking, eating and entertaining. And fashion. And yoga. And talking all of the time. I love texting. And karaoke. And Twitter. And football. And obviously, I’m a fan of reading, writing and all things book-related. I hate mosquitoes, small-minded people and pickles. But not pickled onions. I like pickled onions. Hard to get in the states, you know.
