Nanny Rule #1: Do not fall for your employer. No chance of that happening.
Nanny Rule #2: Do not date fellow household staff. With only an elderly housekeeper as staff, this will not be an issue.
Nanny Rule #3: Do not fall for your boss’s younger brother, Lord Phillip Coventry, Viscount Brookstone. Crap.

American McKenna Manning is thrilled to start her new job as a nanny to an aristocratic family in London. Not only will she get to explore a new country, but she hopes to find a missing piece of herself while on English soil.
What she never expected was to get a crush on her employer’s brother, the dashing Viscount Brookstone.
Of course, when one is rescued by a gorgeous man with a deep voice and British accent, McKenna knows she doesn’t stand a chance. As she unpeels the layers behind the serious and scowling viscount, she begins to find her herself—and feelings for Phillip, too.
While the idea of love has always scared McKenna before, Phillip has her wanting to take that leap. Not only her job is at stake but her future, too. Because something tells McKenna if she were to give her heart to him, she might never want it back …
Love, the Viscount, & Me is the introductory novella to the Modern Aristocrats series. If you like smart heroines, dashing British heroes, and laugh-out-loud humor, then you’ll love this heartwarming novel.

This is one of the most fun books I have read.

McKenna is a young graduate who comes to the UK to learn about the family she doesn’t know, while also being a Nanny to the Coventry-Palmerston family. What I love about McKenna is that she injects fun into everything, sometimes without even trying to! This book has one of the most hilarious ‘meet cutes’ I have ever read! It is one of my favourite scenes. It’s so realistic too. It’s one of those things that you know could happen to anyone of us!

Phillip Coventry seems grumpy when we first meet him but poor Phillip has the weight of the whole family on his shoulders. Phillip is trying to keep everything together and in doing so is actually miserable. Luckily for him, McKenna comes along and makes him realise he has to live his life too.

This book may be short but it really packs a punch. Aven has crammed a lot into 147 pages, not one word is wasted. You will laugh, loudly and cry those sweet happy tears. As always Aven has done her research on the location, the role of a Viscount and the pressures of being from such a prestigious family.

This is the beginning of a new series for Aven which is a spin-off to her Modern Royals series and I CANNOT wait for more Modern Aristocrats.

About Aven Ellis

I live in the Dallas area with my family. I enjoy clipping out recipes I will never get around to trying, working out, and chatting with friends on social media. I’m a hockey nut (Go Stars!) and watch as much as humanly possible. I also love shopping and fashion and admit to being obsessed with whatever the Duchess of Cambridge is wearing. In addition to be obsessed with the Duchess, I’m equally obsessed with any show or cookbook featuring Gordon Ramsay.
